Emhart Glass appoints new VP Sales and Marketing and VP Global Accounts

Werner Gessner graduated in Business Administration from the University of Applied Sciences in Reutlingen. He also holds an MBA from the State University of New York in conjunction with the Singapore Institute of Management and has studied Corporate Finance at London Business School.

Werner began his career at the SIG Group with responsibility for marketing, M&A and business development. He then moved to KHS GmbH, an international leading manufacturer of filling and packing equipment, where he held various positions as VP for Eastern Europe and Executive VP for the CIS and Asia Pacific regions. During the last years he was based at KHS’ regional HQ in Singapore and has also lived and worked in China, and other countries during his working career.

To coincide with Werner’s appointment, former VP Sales Franco Venturelli will take over the role of VP Global Accounts, succeeding Ian Green, who died recently. Franco will be responsible for coordinating a range of activities with specific international customers, working in close co-operation with Werner and Emhart Glass’ regional Sales Directors.

‘I’m very pleased to announce these two key appointments, which together will bring even greater strength and depth to our senior Sales and Marketing team,’ comments Martin Jetter, Emhart Glass’ President. ‘Werner comes to us with extensive professional experience in sales, service and marketing, and will help drive our commercial development around the world. Franco will be able to leverage his deep knowledge of our products and services to help our key customers realize maximum value from them. I wish both Werner and Franco the very best in their new roles.’
