-  Modular concept
-  Easier future upgrades

The improved air supply piping for IS/AIS machines adopts a modular approach, offering a flexible solution to meet customer requirements while allowing for future modifications to the air supply line for each function.
In recent years, numerous requests for customized air supply design for IS and AIS machines required significant engineering and manufacturing efforts.
With the introduction of the Modular Air Supply Piping, Bucher Emhart Glass presents a solution that can accommodate customer needs, by selecting specific “modules” for the air supply line.

-  Automatic temperature measurement reduces workload to control process.
-  Multiple measurement points per section reduce downtime.
-  Automatic re-measuring when measurement is out of range.

The Temperature Control System (TCS) uses a highspeed pyrometer mounted on an automatic positioning system on the blank side. It measures blank mold, plunger and neck ring temperature. The different temperature readings are displayed and recorded. These temperature readings give the process the transparency needed to reduce blank mold, plunger and neck ring temperature variations and lead to improved process stability.

The Temperature Control System (TCS) has evolved through three versions to address growing industry needs, offering improvements in reliability and connectivity at each stage.

The Novaxion swab robot is installed on an existing AIS machine with FlexIS controls and swabs the blank molds and neck-rings. By using the auto swab cycle in the FlexIS controls the swab robot provides “swab on the fly” with respect to the blank molds. The successful installation has been possible by the close cooperation between Vetropack, Bucher Emhart Glass and swab robot supplier Novaxion.
